Michael is the father of Giovanni and the force that initiated Save Giovanni when told Giovanni had a 1 in 20,000 chance of finding a match. His response to the doctors: "No problem, I'll just put 20,000 people in the registry." During over 411 drives the organization has added over 30,414 donors and located 25 matches so far.

Christina is the mother of Giovanni, Adrian and Alexander and the force that nurtures and sustains the family unit, home, and Save Giovanni's Friends. Having lost one child to NEMO, Andreas, whom is on the Angels in Heaven page, she knows the intrinsic loss of a child and thus celebrates the lives of her other children to the fullest.

Mark Marston is a long-time family friend of Giovanni's and is an actual donor for a 12-year-old boy. Mark joined the registry at a Save Giovanni's Friends Bone Marrow Drive at the 25th Anniversary of Heritage Harley Davidson in Concord, NH. Elena came to the second Save Giovanni bone marrow drive where she registered as a donor and became involved in the campaign to save Giovanni. She was profiled on RAI TV, organized drives as Harvard Medical Institute adding over 500 people to the registry and helped organize the first bone marrow drive in the history of Italy, which was broadcast on ABC World News Tonight. She also organized a drive at the Italian Consulate in Boston where the Consul General joined the registry. She was at Giovanni's bedside for many hours during his hospitalization and there for him every time he has been re-admitted. She has watched Giovanni struggle for life three times and we were moved so much by her love for Giovanni and passion to add life saving donors to the registry that we named her Giovanni's Godmother. She is our familia and charged with the duty of teaching Giovanni Italian and educating him about his Italian culture. Under Elena's passionate direction we've added over 25,000 donors to the registry and located 20 life saving matches. Our mission is to add 100,000 new donors to the registry within 5 years thus saving hundreds of lives.
