Dear Mr. Guglielmo,
On January 12th the Microsoft customer support services team received a phone call from someone who indicated that the www.helpgiovanniguglielmo.org Web site was being used for allegedly fraudulent purposes. At Microsoft, we take fraudulent Web sites and fraud on the Internet very seriously. In accordance with our policy, we immediately disabled the Web site. After receiving your call on January 13th, we took steps to re-instate the Web site.
As you know per our communication on January 15th we had technical issues over the weekend with bringing the site back up. We successfully resolved the problem and have re-enabled the site. We apologize for any inconvenience that the disablement of your Web site may have caused.
Sincerely,
Your Microsoft Office Live Team

The Below is from me, Michael, the father of Giovanni Rob Dewey said he was going to file a complaint with Microsoft against Giovanni's website telling the Concord Monitor: "he will ask Microsoft to take down the site because it uses his copyrighted company name and misrepresents his position ... I will absolutely go to Microsoft and file the complaint," Dewey wrote in an e-mail forwarded to the Monitor." See article, Concord Monitor Instead, Rob Dewey turned around and told Microsoft Giovanni's site "was being used for allegedly fruadulent purposes," when in fact Giovanni's Media Coverage page had numerous independent newspaper stories and radio spots documenting the plight of Giovanni that preceded Dewey's false claims. Dewey read the entire website knowing Giovanni's medical condition was documeted by four hospitals, various newspapers, and radio spots and then knowingly conveyed a material misrepresentation to Microsoft to the detriment and harm of Giovanni, his family, and thousands of Save Giovanni supporters. Indeed, thus relying on said false representations Microsoft unilaterally disabled Giovanni's website without notice, opportunity to defend or rebut and failed to even expedite review the site despite the urgency of Giovanni's plight. In conclusion, we hope that Giovanni's life-saving donor did not attempt to visit the site when it suffered from the Dewey shut down and please ask that anyone who hit the blank page return and become a bone marrow donor at one of the many drives we are publishing on this site. Thank you very much. Giovanni and family. |
